Sunbeam trip to the Zoo!

A friend of mine planned a little Sunbeam (Olivia's church class) trip to the zoo! Olivia has a great Sunbeam class and even more amazing Sunbeam teacher. I love going to the zoo and even more, going with other people. The kids loved it (even Hudson finally got the idea, although he pretty much just yelled "dog" at every animal followed by "ruff, ruff, ruff.") But they both had a great time!

We tried teaching Hudson to say monkey and then make monkey sounds, he kind of got it (wait for the end!)


And all the little kids were gathered around one of the zookeepers holding this snake. He asked who wanted to pet it first, and who raises their hand...my Olivia. I was so shocked, mainly because I have no interest in petting the snake...but she did it a few times and didn't seem scared at all. She also wants a bug party for her birthday (mosquitoes included)...here she is, her first time petting the snake!
