Here is her explanation...She was complaining her hair was in her face, so she cut it...and she was happy until I showed her what she looked like in the mirror. Then she cried. I am sad about it too, I don't know what to do with it. I don't know if I should cut it or wait for it to grow a little bit and then cut it. She has one hairstyle that doesn't look terrible...but we'll see. And this is the next day, so she's less traumatized...but a little more bratty, what can you do?
Here is the after...it's pretty short and there is no more bun for ballet, but she looks cute!
And Hudson does the cutest fishy (or kissy) face...

It would look cute cut and than you wouldn't have to worry about it. Or, just remember to do her hair every day :). My 2nd oldest did the same thing when she was 4!
I think when you have girls you just expect them to cut their own hair one day! I would just cut it into a cute little bob or something. She will look cute no matter what!
Oh dear... I'm sorry to say that I had to laugh first (it's hilarious when Olivia says "Mullet!") but I do feel terrible for you. I think every little girl cuts her hair once when they are little. It's inevitable, really. Chloe did it when she was 4 but I lucked out and it was not noticeable at all. I wouldn't have even known she had done it if I hadn't found the clump of hair and scissors under neath the table. Slip her some prenatal vitamins and pray it grows back fast- she would look adorable in a bob, but it will be sad when she doesn't have an excuse to say "mullet" anymore.
Oh dear! I know that feeling as all of my kids have cut hair--more than once. I actually thinks the short hair looks cute, though.
Oh, Olivia! I love the video clip of her. From about the time I was about 4-6 I think my parents were paying people to cut my hair to look like a mullet (I remember having bangs, "side hair" and back hair :). The 80s...
The short hair is really cute though. I like it!
