Ski Trip!!

For Christmas, I got Mat a ski trip...we were so excited to just get away and take a little break!! Mat loves skiing and hasn't been for 6 (SIX!!) whole years, needless to say, he picked up right where he left off. We went skiing at Crystal Mountain, a great resort and stayed in the hotels right next to the resort. It was nice to be so close!

Some "action" shots (thanks Mat). I haven't been skiing for over 10 years (I tried snowboarding in college), so Mat had to teach me all over again. I'd like to think I picked it back up...the thing is I'm like the opposite of an adrenaline junkie...I don't like going fast (whether it be skiing, driving, in a boat, on a bike...I don't feel free, I feel out of control and I don't like it...so Mat spent a lot of time waiting for me to catch up...thanks for being patient with me, Mat!)



And we played a little Jenga, (which, according to our snowboarding friend also in the lobby) makes an excellent drinking game...we also learned that powder can easily be shortened...it's now called "pow". Wow, we're getting old...we thought powder was succinct enough.


And a HUGE thank you to Jared and Camille for watching our kids for two days...we loved our freedom and they loved being there. On our way home I asked Olivia if she missed us, she said, "Well now I miss Emma." And these two became fast friends...and I like them.
