Harlem Globetrotters

Saturday night we went out to celebrate Britni's 29th Birthday!!! We went out to dinner at Famous Daves, and were lucky enough to share a garbage lid with Eric and Amy.

After dinner, we headed to the Globetrotters show which was really funny! I've always wanted to see them and it was really fun to just be on a date (I feel like it's been far too long!)

The big entrance...

I know, we're adorable...

They won, they beat "International Elite". I think they got lucky, though...

Happy Birthday to cute Britni and her cute Rock!

Green Smoothie Face

This guy (and the other guy that live in our house) love green smoothies. And I don't think there is anything better than having your nearly 2 year old's mouth be covered in spinach filled smoothie...

Olivia's Day

We've had an okay winter so far. It hasn't been too rainy, and there have even been days of sunshine. One of those sunshine-y days, I let Olivia pick whatever she wanted to do all day. I feel like so much of our day is planned by me, I thought she would like to have some control...and after ruling out traveling (she wanted first to go to California, and then to Emma's), we settled on her perfect day...

Fish shaped pancakes (in the shape of her fish, Blueberry).

Then we packed lunches and went to the park. She even got Doritos for lunch (a great treat!)
We came home, Hudson took his nap and she got to watch a show (an everyday naptime occurrence around here).

For dinner, we had pizza (on the grill. If you haven't done it...go do it now...or tomorrow night...no, now is better...http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/06/tutorial-bbq-grilled-pizza/)
And some salad...

I hope she had a great day, she said it was the funnest day ever and that I was "the champion of our family." Maybe I should let her plan things more often!

Valentines Day Tea Party

Next we had a Valentines Day Tea Party! Olivia invited three of her friends from dance (and church) and we had a beautiful time!

Olivia made these invitations to mail out to her friends using celery (celery!) aren't they cute? They all said that they loved getting mail all for them!!

We had heart shaped peanut butter and jelly or honey sandwiches, a yummy fruit salad (with heart shaped apples), celery and peanut butter and a yummy (apple juice) tea. Olivia had a great time and loved spending time with her friends!

And I don't think you can have a party without a scavenger hunt. We had to fill "Cupid's tree" full of things to get us ready for Valentines (nail polish, our names on the invitation, a princess shoe, a car to drive in, jewelry and more). The girls loved it!!

I had to put this picture...I always put super cute pictures of Olivia up, but this is what she really looks like...
Then we decorated cupcakes, the most candy and frosting I've ever seen on a cupcake!

Next we had a Valentine Exchange with all our church Playgroup friends. It was a fun-filled Valentines week and we loved spreading the love!

Fancy Nancy Ballet

I took Olivia to the Fancy Nancy Ballet in Bellevue. It started with a ballet of a bunch of Disney songs (Bibbity Bobbity Boo, Heigh Ho, Once Upon a Dream), dances by the Sleeping Beauty Fairies and then the Fancy Nancy Ballet of Bonjour Butterfly. Olivia loved it, but the fanciest part, there were French people sitting right behind us. What could be more appropriate at a Fancy Nancy show?

Valentines Day!

We definitely celebrated Valentines Day very well this year! We started with a McInelly family party all planned by Mandy which was so fun!! Olivia loves her cousins! When we got to spend time with them, we pretty much don't see her for the whole day! We started by decorating cookies which everyone had their strengths at...

Jeanne surrounded by her grandkids...

Decorating is serious business...
Austin picture #1...

The sisters...yeah, we see you Jared...

The kids had a great time eating their cookies...(there that cute boy is again...)

Even babies got in on the Valentines fun!Until she got tackled...

Don't worry, Emma is always looking out for her fellow redheads...

Then we had a pizza party for the kids. got a few babysitters, and the adults went out to Black Bear (one of our favorite breakfast/diner places). Then we came back home, put the kids to bed and enjoyed hours of laughing so hard we cried (thanks to Mandy) and got to enjoy each other as adults (it doesn't happen very often!)

The ones who started it all, McInelly beta.

McInelly 1.0 (It turns out Jared wasn't photo bombing us, he makes that face in EVERY picture!)
McInelly 2.0

Chris, of the Madills (a league of their own)...sorry you're missing Mandy...Matty is solo too, but I promise Mandy and I were indeed there!

Mike and Emma, we missed you...but from the looks of it, you're doing just fine for yourselves...

The next day we had some breakfast...Let's just take turns looking at these cute boys...

Have you ever seen someone eat a bowl of cereal cuter...I dare say, I have not...

and then we hurried home to make it to our 1 o clock church...we were just in time!

Party Weekend

Our February will be packed with fun...and this weekend was just the beginning. After the party on Friday, Hudson attended his first friend party (so exciting). Mat went with him and he said he was shy and a little stand-offish, but that he seemed to have fun. He's had fun with the train car he got to bring home, though. I feel like this is such a fun milestone!

And on Sunday, we celebrated one of my favorite holidays, Superbowl Sunday!! I love it because it's all about eating really good food, hanging out with your friends, and watching football. It was a great day! (Thanksgiving does not qualify since most of the time, you can't pick the food you eat...it's been assigned long ago...and I don't really like it).

I didn't get a picture of the before, but as you can tell from the after...we all had food hangovers the next day...and we needed two tables.

Tia's Birthday Party!!

On Friday I helped one of my new ward friends celebrate her birthday! One of the things we've loved about our new ward is that there are so many people our age. We love having new friends, and I love parties! For Tia's birthday, we celebrated with her favorite thing ever...Dance Central. We had about 15 ladies over and had a great time (it went until the next day...that's when you know a party is good!!!)

Tia's husband, Micah, helped to set the mood...

After a few snacks, including chocolate covered brownies (thanks Lauren)!!

Then we admired the decorations...the puffs all over the internet...

And more exciting, I sewed streamers...I know, they're awesome and ruffled and grown-up and I love them...

Then it was time to get down to business...Tia and Sarah...I know, the only picture I have of Tia is of her back...but trust me, is basically unbeatable...she's that good...

Emily is really good, she beat me...

Sarah is so impressed, she just stands back and applauds her...

We took a break for cake...

At around midnight, things started getting crazy...

And it was ever so much fun! I know Tia had a great time and I'm so glad we were able to help her celebrate!!
